What we do
Getting it right first time
WHAT WE DO
The Nature Trust takes on projects all around Ireland to create, restore and rewild valuable natural habitats such as woodlands and peatlands.
Our team’s cumulative years of specialist, direct industry knowledge, skills and experience means we don’t mind getting our hands dirty!
As an Irish not-for-profit, we receive corporate funding and combine it with public funding to support these projects. We work with partners who share our ambitions to plant as many native trees as possible. We ensure these sites can be accessed and enjoyed for many generations to come.

Our unique model – Growing together
We maximise impact by combining public and private funding
Private investments and donations combined with public funding sources such as afforestation grants and premiums support our native woodland projects.
These lands are held in the care of The Nature Trust so we can have a positive impact on local ecosystems and Irish society into the future. All our lands are open to the public for recreation, education and nature-based activities.
HOW IT WORKS
When you invest in The Nature Trust, you are creating an enduring legacy that has a positive impact on nature and communities around Ireland.
Our work with expert forestry and ecology specialists ensures the most innovative and appropriate nature-based solutions. We provide our partners with progress updates with independently-verified data.
