ACORN GATHERING 2024
In addition to the Acorn Gathering, we will also share some educational information on the importance of native woodlands, seed collection and how you can help to make these important woodlands thrive.
In partnership with the dedicated team at Coillte, including their tree nursery in Ballintemple, Co. Carlow, we will be working with schools, local communities, and partners to gather acorns. These acorns will be germinated and cared for at the nursery until they are ready to be planted in new native woodlands throughout Ireland.
