This site is close to Cloonakillina Lough Special Area of Conservation and is due to be planted with a mix of wet and dry woodland communities, including species such as oak, birch, Scots pine, hazel, rowan, willow and alder. As the woodland develops it will add to the high biodiversity value of the area and provide shelter and food for many species of birds and animals.
