This young native woodland has a mix of woodland communities with birch, willow and alder in lower, wetter area, and oak, rowan, hawthorn and blackthorn in the dryer areas. It is bordered by well established hedgerows with many mature trees including oak and hawthorn.

Each native woodland planted by The Nature Trust is unique. At this stage these woodlands are young and in time they will be open to the public, with trails and signage added where appropriate. There is great potential for how these sites can be of benefit to local communities as they grow and we encourage community involvement in these woodlands. We will be adding new sites to the website over time, so keep an eye out to see if a new one is established near you!
