This site slopes gently to the south and the trees have grown well over the last few years. Here you will find a mix of woodland communities with species like oak, hazel, birch, Scots pine and alder. There are mature hawthorn and willow in the surrounding hedgerows, which provide additional habitats for wildlife while this woodland is young.

Each native woodland planted by The Nature Trust is unique. At this stage these woodlands are young and in time they will be open to the public, with trails and signage added where appropriate. There is great potential for how these sites can be of benefit to local communities as they grow and we encourage community involvement in these woodlands. We will be adding new sites to the website over time, so keep an eye out to see if a new one is established near you!
