This site was planted in early 2021 and has grown beautifully since then with many of the pioneering birch trees now over 2 metres tall. It is a beautiful mix of native Irish species including birch, oak, alder, blackthorn and wild cherry.

Each native woodland planted by The Nature Trust is unique. At this stage these woodlands are young and in time they will be open to the public, with trails and signage added where appropriate. There is great potential for how these sites can be of benefit to local communities as they grow and we encourage community involvement in these woodlands. We will be adding new sites to the website over time, so keep an eye out to see if a new one is established near you!
